Unique & Bold Characters

Play as a diverse cast of characters from your village, each evolving in a memorable way using their own deck and abilities.

High Energy & Strategy Roguelike

Balanced between ease of play and strategy, Pyrene develops intense deck-building elements whilst using an easy-to-use card-based dungeon system

i really loved this demo! i cant wait to see the full release.

A few bugs : talisman of metamorphosis (which replaces random enemy with random card from deck) can place 2nd Zoe` in play ; elite enemy Kraken , with his passive status "elusive" , can move under hero's card ; resilient helmet relic can place shiny iron shield on top of snowy plain card in the transitional spacey "........." biome

(-5)

Oh , and tell Jeanne Prigente that Votive Altar needs complete redesign , because for now it looks not monumental enough , rather like a handy trinket . Moreover , it looks like overly-surprised baby crocodile with sharp teeth vvvvvvvv ))

(-4)

Also , for native english speaking players "votive" may be perceived as "altar where villagers vote" ) This can be fixed with just one tiny addition of sign (`) , which is above letter "e" of that other altar which requires spirits (forgot it's name) . Votive` (with emphasis on vowel e) would sound more exotic , with authentic french colouritte )

"Feedback" button and those plain black circles on the bottom of the screen in danger-vouz zones look like belonging more to some "darkest dungeon crawler" game , don't look nice while playing on grasslands and mountain biome . Rectangular with hp , proviants , spirits count (over hero) and info windows which appear in top-right corner of screen when you hover mous on some card with keywords look more pleasant , because they aren't plain black , more grey . But still , if in your game collecting wood is so impotant , why not place special power and "spend the night" buttons on more grey-brown font , which would look like wooden shields ? And black circle behind hero isn't needed at all , IMHO ) While buttons P , C , 1 , 2 , SPACE on the bottom of the screen during danger-vouz zones are soo tiny , like , a few square-pixels . What's next most important resource in a village ? Stone ! So , why won't you make hotkeys like 10x bigger and looking like made of stone )

I don’t think a day goes by where I don’t see game art with this similar action/adventure theme. Then upon delving deeper, come to the inevitable disappointment.

“Oh, looks like another one of them-there ‘deck-builders’ aye?

…happy-happy, joy-joy😐”

Enjoy folks, it’s just not my thing

Please add a warnig when before you sleep,if sleeping kills you,but the game is very good!

It has a unique concept for a card game and a very charming art style. The demo was fun, looking forward for the full release!

That is so great,I am a student from China,a 13 years old boy,Iplay it much time,I like it!

I approve you,you are so great!

I hope I can make it in future.

I also want to make game like this when I Seventh Grade,I have some good inspiration, and I study to make games when I just 9 years ago,but in fact, though I have good inspiration and I study to make games,I can't to make it,so I evey admiration you,you are so good!

That's all.

Looks fun—I just tried opening it on a mac and it only works with 32 bit systems. Which is >4 years out of use, I think. I suspect this would be a huge challenge to build, but I thought I'd mention it.

I just downloaded the mac demo & it runs on my m2 macbook pro from 2023 just fine

That is surprising! I get this message trying to open the application, and Steam says macs beyond 10.15 (Catalina) don't support it.

That is weird! I grabbed the demo zip from here, on itch, and I’m running my device on Sonoma atm. It might be something to do with the intel vs silicone chips, maybe?

(+1)

Actually, it’s not related to the OS but to the chip. The game only works on Mac M1 and above, but not on Intel Macs (because I only have a m2 to build and test).

As armatures said, I think it would be a big challenge to make it compatible with Intels chips :/

would the windows version work?

Hello

I wasn’t sure I would be into this style of play looking at the gifs, but just like Forward, the demo got me hooked pretty quickly once relics and their synergies came into play. Well done so far! Wishlisted :)

One quick note regarding the translation: "flair" does not have the same meaning in English as in French ;)

(1 edit)

Indeed, a lot of the concepts come from Forward. With some additions ^^ I’m glad you like the game. Thanks for the wishlist and your comment! :)

PS: and thanks too for the “flair” mistake, I’ll fix that.
